Daniel Guinchard

British Racing Driver

Biography

Daniel Guinchard is a 18-year-old British racing driver from London who aims to become a Formula 1 World Champion. He began racing go-karts in 2015 in the Honda Cadet class and quickly gained victories and experience. In 2018, he became the Vice British Champion.

In 2020, Daniel competed in the ADAC Kartmasters and DKM in the OKJ class and became the champion. Later that year, he was offered a drive by Argenti Motorsport owner Ron Meadows to compete in the International Finals, where he emerged as the Rotax World Champion.

In 2021, Daniel returned to the British Karting scene and dominated both the Junior Rotax and Junior X30 classes, becoming the first junior driver in history to win two British Titles in a single year. He also won the British Open Title and the prestigious British Kart Grand Prix.

Instead of moving up to senior karting, Daniel was instead promoted straight to the ROKiT F4 British Championship certified by FIA with the Argenti team. Although 2022 proved to be a challenging year, Daniel achieved many good results, including one outright win, six overall podiums, 27 rookie podiums, and was runner-up in the Rookie Cup, second only to a driver with more testing and senior experience,

For 2023, Daniel returned to the ROKiT F4 British Championship, however after many promising results and podiums,  Daniel had to pull out due to funding problems.

In 2024, Daniel had to return to karting due to the funding problems that had started half way through the 2023 season. He is currently competing in the national German karting Championship and has had very promising results. Daniel is driving for the SFR Motorsport team partnered with Kart republic, and the Dörr Motorsport team, who are the official Mclaren GT team in the German "DTM" championship. Daniel's aim for the future, funding pending would be to step up to the Mclaren DTM team and return to car racing.
